Still Snowing in March.....

Wow it is March 2013 already and still snowing, I just realized between New Years and today I had not posted any updates to the blog....well this is one exciting year, we have 5 foals coming the first one out of TA Ritas Bar Dancer my Quarter Horse and The Rebel Tzadkiel my Appaloosa Stallion is due any day now.  Reb is being considered for Registry into the Foundation Books for the ISHRA hoping this pulls through as he is such a wonderful guy.  Sullie is doing really well after his couple of months of losing weight and not knowing what the problem was, alot of blood work and Vet bills later it seems he just wanted to be home with his girls and me.  As his stall is right out the back door he gets alot of treats.  Hopefully Sullie will be up to attending to a few girls this year very soon, the other day my Percheron Mare backed right up to his paddock and lucky for me I heard him screaming Yea Ha so I ran right out saying No no no.....

Matriel Sundori is my next mare to foal she will be having another AraAppaloosa knowing Reb this foal will be a duplicate of Eloa last years filly.  Either way those two produce the best foals very colorful and spirited.

Jillian Mac my Percheron Mare was put in with Reb when she arrived but I am not sure she took as she was acting like she was in heat the other night.  Jill is being considered for an approved breeding mare with the SugarBush Draft Registry.  I was too late in sending in the request for her to be consider Foundation Stock, I am sure she will pass inspection as she is beautiful and exactly what their standards call for.  Then her foals will be Stonewall Sporthorses or Sugar Bush Drafts.  If Jill was registered with the Percheron Registry I could put her with Sullie and have a Desert Norman.  Still could but the foal would be a registered half arabian.  Jill has one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen she should give me wonderful foals.

Princess Azraella my Black Arabian mare is next in August with an AraAppaloosa, Princess throws Black foals and Reb is a Leopard Appy so this should be interesting to see what I get with these two.  Both are leggy and tall, slender builds but powerful, Princess has taken her turns on the Endurance field and Reb is on his way.

The last is Landace Wind dancer, she is the only one giving us a Pure Bred foal this year.  Ace is in foal to Sullie.  Darq Sultan "Sullie" is a homozygous Black Arabian Stallion.  Having late fall babies gives me some extra time with the foals as I will not present them until late spring of 2014.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful year so far and I look forward to seeing everyone at this years Open House and BQ.......marie
